At the end of July, 95 high school juniors and seniors from around the country gathered on Pepperdine University’s Malibu campus to experience CrossWays, a Christian leadership experience. For nine days these students were taught, mentored and led through group experiences to deepen their understanding of God’s will for their present and future lives.
I had the great pleasure of attending Crossways and engaging with each of the students named below. I was so moved and encouraged by their deep faith, and their willingness to commit to sharing Jesus with those who do not know Him.
Because of your generosity, The Flow Foundation will provide six $2,000 scholarships to CrossWays students who wish to express their faith through a mission experience in 2022. During this year’s CrossWays event, eight students were chosen to receive GO-C scholarships (six provided by The Flow Foundation) that will be used by September 1, 2022.
Beginning this September, each GO-C student will meet regularly with a missionary mentor who will help them (along with their parents and other spiritual advisors) to determine their 2022 mission destination and experience. After their mission trip, each student will share pictures and a written report. Also, upon their return, students will continue to meet with their mission mentor to process their mission trip and decide next steps forward in their mission\faith journey.
